The Energy Marketers Association of New Hampshire (EMANH) is opening a program that will provide grants to individuals who successfully complete an educational program that will allow them to achieve certification as a home heating fuel technician. EMANH will provide grants of up to $2,500 per student, on a first-come, first-served basis, while funds last. There are a limited amount of funds available for this program.
Apply NowWhile the grant fund check will come from EMANH, the funding for this program is ultimately available because of the National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA) program, which includes funding for education and training of industry technicians.
To be eligible to receive grant funding, a student must successfully complete a NORA training program, at either the Bronze, Silver, or Gold certification level. The grant check will be issued upon proof that the certification exam has been passed. (This means that the student or the employer must pay the cost up front for the training program. They will be reimbursed up to $2,500 once they achieve the certification, and provide proof of tuition payments made).
The date that the certification is obtained must be a date later than the application was submitted. In other words, grants will only be provided for certifications obtained moving forward, not retroactively. An application may be submitted on behalf of an individual who is currently in the process of completing NORA-certified training. However, grant funds will not be provided until the certification has been achieved, and proof of the certification and tuition payment have been submitted to EMANH. An individual is eligible to receive a grant up to $2,500, however, the amount of the grant cannot exceed the total cost of the tuition paid.
To apply, individuals and their employers must complete our online application form below.
